Special and/or sensitive personal data we process

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data on website visitors who are under the age of 16. Unless they have parental or guardian consent. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is older than 16. Therefore, we encourage parents to be involved in their children’s online activities to avoid collecting data about children without parental consent. If you believe that we have collected personal information about a minor without such consent, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete this information.

For what purpose and on what basis we process personal data

Vakwerkhuis processes your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Handling your payment
  • Calling or emailing you if necessary to perform our services
  • Informing you of changes to our services and products
  • Vakwerkhuis also processes personal data if we are legally required to do so, such as data we need for our tax return.

How long we keep personal data

Vakwerkhuis stores your personal data no longer than is strictly necessary to fulfill the purposes for which your data is collected. We use the following retention periods for the following (categories) of personal data:

  • Personal data: We keep these as long as you are a customer with us; they are checked annually and removed if necessary
  • Address data: We keep these as long as you are a customer with us and/or they fall under the legal retention period, annually this data is checked and removed if necessary
  • Loyalty card: We keep this for as long as you are a customer with us, annually this data is checked and removed if necessary

Sharing personal data with third parties

Vakwerkhuis does not sell your information to third parties and will provide it only if necessary to execute our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. With companies that process your data on our behalf, we conclude a processing agreement to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. Vakwerkhuis remains responsible for this processing.

We use the services of e-Bookkeeping as a payment service provider. In this context, your name and bank details may be shared between Vakwerkhuis and e-Boekhouden.

Cookies, or similar techniques, that we use

Vakwerkhuis uses only technical and functional cookies. And analytical cookies that do not invade your privacy. To make sure that the request for inspection is made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your ID with the request. In this copy, black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but within four weeks.

How we secure personal data

Vakwerkhuis takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent abuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification. If you feel that your information is not properly secured or there are indications of misuse, please contact our customer service or via [email protected]. Vakwerkhuis has taken the following measures to protect your personal data:

  • Encryption of sensitive data such as login credentials, both in transit and at rest
